Studio Session

On May 14–15, 2024, Franklin Street hosted its first two-day Studio Session, an immersive, hands-on experience in designing work that truly moves people. We brought together 15 leaders and facilitators from across sectors at the Denver Botanic Gardens. They arrived with real, work-in-progress projects—from board and team retreats to year-long fellowships—and built and refined them using Franklin Street’s facilitation methods to sharpen their practice.

Rather than sit and listen in a typical professional development training, participants tested and reworked their designs in real time. One participant reflected that the session gave them “a renewed sense of creativity and intentionality in planning for facilitation. It was a really helpful space to spur creativity and break out of the standard methods that I have been using.”

By the end, each leader made tangible progress on their projects and left with clearer thinking and deeper confidence in their craft.
