“I came in with a very, very loose framework for my experience. By the end of the workshop, I had transformed that into an in-depth agenda with objectives, key activities, a more purposeful lens for why I would ‘get out of the conference room’ and a neat idea for prototyping.”

FAQ
When and where is the next studio session?
We’re planning our next open Studio Session for Fall 2026 in Denver, Colorado. If you’d like to be the first to hear when applications open, you can join our interest list.
How is the team version different from the open session?
Our open session brings together a small, curated group of leaders and facilitators from across sectors, creating space to learn alongside peers with diverse perspectives.
The team experience is tailored to your organization. We adapt the course to your context so your team can build shared language, strengthen how you work together, and improve the experiences you design and lead together.
What size team is best if you customize a version for our organization?
We typically work with teams of 15-25 participants. This allows for meaningful collaboration and practice. If your team is larger, we’re happy to explore formats that maintain the quality of the experience.
What does it cost?
The open session costs $1950 per person. That said, we aspire to make this experience as accessible as possible and have a limited budget for financial assistance. The application will offer space to tell us more about what you'd need to attend.
The team experience cost varies depending on your team size, level of customization, and overall scope. We’ll work with you to design an experience that fits your goals and context—reach out to start the conversation.
Is this right for me or my team?
Studio Session is designed for leaders, facilitators, and designers who regularly bring groups of people together and want to do it more thoughtfully and effectively.
It’s a strong fit if you or your team:
- Design or lead meetings, workshops, or convenings
- Want to create more engaging, impactful experiences
- Are looking to sharpen your craft through hands-on practice and feedback
What kind of “design project” will I bring?
You’ll bring a real, current experience you’re designing or planning—such as a workshop, team retreat, convening, or internal meeting series.
Throughout the course, you’ll work on that project directly, refining it with new tools, feedback, and perspective so you leave with something more thoughtful and fully developed.
